Hello,
Can you believe that it is already the third week of school?! September is flying by! I would like to remind you that tomorrow Wednesday, September 10th is our first early release of the year. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. Classes will be shortened by half an hour and students will only have 5 minutes between passing periods.
Due to the time crunch, we will have to be on our toes tomorrow to ensure that all staff members receive their coffee. The students are doing wonderful in the coffee shop, they make a great team of coworkers... I'm inspired everyday by how they treat one another with kindness and affirmation.
Math class is going well, too. The students have learned the procedures quickly. A lot of time is spent doing group and one-on-one work. They have been reminded that before asking a teacher for help, they should turn to a partner and try to solve the problem together. I really want to emphasize that learning is social and requires team work and everyone's participation. Keep up the great work, students! :)
