We had a super successful First Annual Disability Awareness Talent Show! Below is some pictures of the acts. Some of them are kind of fuzzy but, just too good to not post.
The first presentation was our video about the Rword. You can view this video on our "Media" page. We're SPREADING THE WORD! There was a lot of work put into it and it turned out fabulous!
We had a great turn out. Todd Christiansen, Assistant SpecEd Director; Loretta LaPoint Beringer, Specialist; Dave Halverson, from the State Sped, and many, many family members and close friends. What a delight!
Although there was a few technical difficulties, it went pretty smoothly. There was an overwhelming response from the audience. We even had a few people in tears. A few of the students expressed some stage fright but they went up and performed on stage in spite of their jitters. It was so fun to see them get down and express themselves freely, getting the recognition they deserve! Next year, we are expecting an even BETTER show!
