A couple weeks ago, we lost a former student. It was a sad loss for many of the students and staff. He was a special young man and brightened our days. Here's a link to his obit:

On more uplifting news, we had several visitors/speakers today.
The first group was from Longhorn Steakhouse. Jenna, manager, came to do a demo on how to make a couple salads off their menu, strawberry and pumpkin. The students made and ate the salads, then made chocolate volcano cake! YUMMO! It was so fun, we ate cake for breakfast!
The other people who came were from Dept. of Labor and Regulation. They spoke with the students about their services and programs. They have a TON to offer youth in search of jobs! If you'd like more info, visit their website: http://dlr.sd.gov/
Lastly, I have some awesome pics from our Halloween Party I will be posting, hopefully, tomorrow. We had a BLAST!
