According to Wikipedia, the Italian word "barista" is a male or female bartender. They serve hot drinks (espresso), cold drinks (beer), or soft drinks (soda). The plural for the word is "baristi". The English meaning for the word is strictly used for people who make espressos.
We have a couple of well-trained, dedicated baristas on staff; Blake, Trevor, and Mitchell. This is the "creme de la creme" of jobs. Everyone wants to be a barista! It can be a very complicated, pressure-filled position, so only a few students are qualified and skilled enough to take on the job.
This week we did some research about iPads. We went to several businesses to see if we could get a discount or donation. It seems, so far, Walmart is our best bet. We should be hearing back from them sometime next week about their donation offer!
We tried out a NEW flavor combination today: the Snowman. This recipe uses one tbsp Peppermint flavor and one tbsp White Chocolate flavor. We have several regular customers ask if we can keep this ALL YEAR! They loved it!
