Can you believe that it is already the 20th of October!? Halloween is right around to he corner. I have some announcements in regards to Halloween.
First, the holiday falls on a Friday, which is a white day. During first and second block, we are going to join Ms. Heuston's class for a Halloween party that will involve treats, games, dancing and karaoke! Students, wear your costumes because it is going to be a great time!
Also, Safe Halloween is an event that students and staff at Central High School will be putting on for community members. At this event, there will be games, candy and prizes... it is family friendly and will take place on Halloween (Friday October 31st) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The reason I'm telling you about this is because the students and I were asked to run a game booth and hand out candy to the kiddos. Several students have shown interest and I will be in contact with parents. Please let me know if you are interested :)
In terms of academics, classes are going well. Students in Employability and Affective Skills have been busy in the coffee shop and have been practicing a lot of job search skills.
